Frequently Asked Questions

q. I downloaded a video but it is not working or I get audio but no video. What is the deal?

a. This is a codec problem. What you need to do is install the correct codecs for it to work. In the video section of the website there is a folder called Codec. It contains a codec pack that will install all of the codecs that you need. Just download it and install!

q. I want to share this site with others, how should I go about doing that?

a. I have no problems if you want to tell others about this site. I made this site to be a public archive. I do ask one favor. If you tell others, in person, on the phone, through e-mail, online, etc; please use the address of bnlhttp.com. If you give away the "real" address people miss out on the updates list, mailing list, and other features of the website.

q. How do I upload a show? I went to the website but don't know what to do.

a. Go to the site. Click the "BNL Upload" folder. Now in the upper right hand corner there is a icon that says upload. Click that. Now click the choose buttons and pick the file or files you want to upload. Finally click "Upload Files" to have them sent. I would advise sending one file at a time.

q. What happened to the FTP and will it ever come back?

a. Sorry but no. Trying to run both the FTP and HTTP sites were a pain. I sent out a poll to people that are on my mailing list, and the large majority did not care if the FTP was shut down, so down it went.

q. What changes have been made to the HTTP site?

a. Well with the old site I was hosting everything locally. I have now started paying for a web host. Hopefully that will eliminate and connection and speed problems that people were experiencing before.

q. Why do I get a message that the monthly bandwidth has been exceeded?

a. My web host gives me 1 Terabyte or 1000 Gigabytes of transfer bandwidth per month. Once that limit is surpassed I have to start paying for the bandwidth used. So if that mark is passed I put that message up until the next month starts.

q. What can I do to help?

a. Either donate shows that you have or donate money.  Either choice helps everyone.  When you donate a show you are adding to the collection that is accessed by thousands of people.  When you donate money those funds are used to help pay for expenses relating to the webhosting.
